The Story Lounge-After Dark is an intimate adult storytelling experience where stories move beyond the page and come alive in the room.

The Story Lounge-After Dark brings together authors, storytellers, screenwriters, Story Readers, Scene Performers, and audiences for a different kind of night centered around storytelling.

Books and short stories may be brought to life through expressive, characterized readings. Scripts may be experienced through live scene interpretations. And sometimes, the writer may choose to step behind the microphone themselves.

But The Story Lounge is about more than what happens at the microphone.

It's a night to put down the phone, enjoy good music, laugh, participate, connect, and meet somebody you didn't know.

Depending on the night, a story might make you laugh, think, blush, wonder—or give you chills.

You never quite know where the next story will take you.

Selected prose may be paired with a Story Reader who uses voice, emotion, pacing, and characterization to bring the author's words to life.

Selected scripts may be presented by Scene Performers, allowing audiences to experience characters and dialogue beyond the written page.
